The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office a 20-year-old man on a skateboard was killed yesterday morning when he was hit by a truck in Destin. Deputies said it happened near the intersection of Emerald Coast Parkway and Regatta Bay Boulevard about 3:45am when Sean Roberts was riding a skateboard eastbound in the roadway when he was struck by the truck. Roberts was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck stayed at the scene to help deputies with the investigation.
