The Blue Angels will soon have a new commanding officer for the 2020 and 2021 seasons Tuesday afternoon. Commander Brian Kesselring has been selected to succeed Captain Eric Doyle. Applicants were required to have a minimum of 3,000 flight hours and be in current command or have had past command of a tactical jet squadron. Kesselring is a native of Fargo, North Dakota. He joins the Blues after serving as the commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron 81. The change-of-command ceremony is set for November 10 at the National Naval Aviation Museum.
