The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a minor league football game in Century in North Escambia County ended in a brawl and with at least three shots being fired on the football field. The Tri-City Venom of the Amateur to Professional Development Football League had just lost 33-6 to the Greater Pensacola Jets at Anthony Pleasant Park on East Highway 4 when players from both teams started fighting. At least three gunshots were fired, but no injuries were reported. Witnesses said the gunman did not have a shirt on but was wearing the team uniform pants of the Jets. He jumped the fence and ran into nearby woods. The investigation is continuing.
