The former Chief Executive Officer of the Navarre Beach Chamber of Commerce, has been sentenced to five years in an Alabama prison for defrauding an elderly woman and another couple out of $300,000 to pay her own personal debts. The Alabama Securities Commission says Judy Morehead was also ordered to pay $250,000 in restitution. Morehead, her husband Stanley and her son Benjamin, were all indicted in March of 2017 and she later pleaded guilty to securities fraud. She served as the head of the Navarre Beach Chamber from October 2015 until her resignation in June 2017.
