The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says a Ruckel Middle School student has been charged with two felonies after an Okaloosa County sheriff’s deputy found a loaded gun in his backpack yesterday. After deputies received information about the gun, Kyron Watts was removed from the classroom and searched and a .38-caliber revolver loaded with five rounds of ammunition was found in his backpack, Watts was charged with carrying a concealed firearm and possession of a firearm on school property. Deputies are also investigating an armed robbery of another teenager in Shalimar on Monday night that may have involved Watts.
