A former volunteer firefighter trainee has been arrested in Alabama for stealing a brush truck from the Walnut Hill Station of Escambia Fire Rescue. He is accused of taking the truck the night of April 14th, driving it around for more than hour, including crossing the state line to Flomaton, before returning it to the fire station. Escambia County Alabama Sheriff Heath Jackson, said his department responded to domestic disturbance north of Atmore involving 22-year-old Lawrence Coon and his ex-girlfriend. Coon was in a vehicle when he was stopped by a deputy who found a handgun in the glovebox. He faces extradition back to Escambia County, Florida, on a charge of vehicle theft.
