The Florida Highway Patrol says a young girl was struck and killed by a vehicle in Myrtle Grove on yesterday afternoon. Escambia County Emergency Services responded to the report in the 1800 block of Brenda Avenue just before 2pm, but the child died at the scene. Details of the crash and the age and identity of the victim have not yet been released.
