The Walton County Sheriff’s Office says a mobile home was destroyed by a fire after neighbors reported the sound of an explosion early yesterday morning. Firefighters said the structure on Rooks Bluff Road had already collapsed in heavy flames before they arrived just after 4 a.m. The woman living in the mobile home was able to get herself and her pets out safely. The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
