A prosthetic leg found in the Gulf of Mexico in Panama City Beach on Monday morning has been reunited with its owner. The leg was turned over to the Panama City Beach Police for safekeeping and the finder posted the information on Facebook. She also emailed the serial number to the leg’s manufacturer to try to identify the owner. A woman who lives in Arkansas responded and said her 22-year-old daughter was in the Gulf when she was knocked down by a wave and her prosthetic leg came off. They have since contacted Panama City Beach Police.
