OKALALOOSA COUNTY CHILD NEGLECT ARREST

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says a 34-year-old woman was arrested for leaving a child alone in a hot car while she shopped. Deputies say Brittney Foerster left a child under the age of six in a hot car for over 15 minutes at the Destin Commons. The vehicle was parked in direct sunlight and the outside temperature was 83 degrees. The report said the child was covered in sweat and medical crews had to be notified.
