The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team was sent to a home in Myrtle Grove yesterday morning, but an arrest was made before the team had to be deployed. Deputies had first responded to the intersection of West Fairfield Drive and Chesterfield Road after a report of gunshots. Deputies said one man had fired a single shot into the air, then retreated inside his home and refused to come out. However, the suspect surrendered before the SWAT team had to go in. The suspects name has not yet been released.
