An inmate at the Okaloosa County Jail is now facing additional charges after he set off the fire sprinkler in his cell. Investigators say 66-year-old Alan Alessi struck the sprinkler head inside his cell with his flip-flop causing water to spray inside his cell. When asked why he set off the sprinkler Alessi said he thought someone was going to set his cell on fire. Alessi was already serving time for a DUI arrest and now faces charges of obstructing fire extinguishment.
