The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and Florida Forest Service, say almost 5,000 dump truck loads of muck have been removed from Karick Lake in Baker in north Okaloosa County and it has been restocked with more than 40,000 fish. The 54-year-old, 65-acre lake is off State Road 189 in the Blackwater River State Forest about eight miles north of Baker. The restoration of the lake is expected to be completed by the end of July.
