SHOTS FIRED IN DOWNTOWN PENSACOLA

A Pensacola Police officer who was working traffic enforcement near the intersection of North J and Garden streets said someone fired gunshots near her from a passing car. Officer Sarah Barbosa said a red two-door Chevrolet Camaro with tinted windows was driving slowly westbound down Garden Street when an individual put their arm out of the driver’s side window and fired four to five times before driving away. Barbosa attempted to stop the Camaro, but the driver got away. No injuries were reported and the investigation is continuing.
