Several new laws go into effect today in Florida. They include a new Texting and Driving law that makes texting and driving a primary offense, meaning an office can pull you over if they see you texting on your phone while your vehicle is in motion; A law which bans vaping and e-cigarettes in indoor workplaces; and the Firefighter Cancer Benefits law that will help firefighters diagnosed with certain types of cancer and will require the firefighter’s employer to cover out-of-pocket expenses such as copays and deductibles.
