Firefighters from the Ocean City-Wright Fire Control District responded to a fire at a house on Woodrow Street. Captain Jennifer Arne said firefighters arrived at the scene around 3 p.m. and found smoke coming from the rear of the home. The fire was contained in the laundry room, was quickly extinguished, but there was additional smoke damage throughout the home. Three adults and two children in the home were able to escape the fire without injury. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
