PENSACOLA POLICE SHOOTING

Pensacola Police have released the name of the man shot and killed by a police officer Friday afternoon. Officers tried to make a traffic stop on 28-year-old Tymar Crawford, but he refused to stop until he got to his home at “C” and Brainerd streets. Police say he started fighting and disarmed an officer and was then shot by another officer. Crawford’s girlfriend, Kimberly Henderson, says her boyfriend was not fighting with police, but was trying to get on the ground when he was shot. His mother says she plans to sue the Pensacola Police Department. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
