POSSIBLE TROPICAL STORM BARRY

The National Hurricane Center says a second named storm of the 2019 hurricane season could form later this week and could be felt in this area. Forecasters say a trough of low pressure over the U.S.is moving south toward the Gulf of Mexico where a broad low-pressure area will likely form in a few days. If it does achieve tropical storm status it would be named Barry. It appears the most likely area for development would be over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico, perhaps near the coasts of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and southeastern Louisiana. At this point it is too early to determine if it will affect the Blue Angel air show this weekend.
