SANTA ROSA INMATE DEATH INVESTIGATION

Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said a 25-year-old woman who died shortly after she was arrested, was storing drugs inside her body.  The sheriff said the container of drugs she was carrying opened, spilling the contents into her body. Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Lynsey Taylor for burglary and criminal mischief Friday night. While being transported to the Santa Rosa County Jail, she suffered a medical emergency and was taken to the Santa Rosa County Medical Center, then was transported to jail. She suffered a second medical emergency and was again transported to the hospital where she died. The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
