JACKSON COUNTY DEPUTY ARRESTED

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement says a former Jackson County sheriff’s deputy has been arrested for planting drugs on drivers he pulled over for minor traffic infractions. Former Jackson County deputy Zachary Wester was arrested in Crawfordville, Florida after a nearly year-long investigation. Prosecutors had to drop charges in nearly 120 cases. Wester faces felony charges of racketeering, official misconduct, fabricating evidence, possession of a controlled substance and false imprisonment.
