The Emerald Coast Zoo outside of Crestview, has one of the largest reticulated pythons in the State. The female snake is named Ginormica, weighs 200 pounds, and is a just over 20 feet long. Zoo co-owner Rick de Ridder said the largest reticulated python is 25-feet-long and is named “Medusa”, but Ginormica could reach world-record size in a couple years or so. Ginormica was the star attraction at the zoo’s National Snake Day celebration on Saturday.
