HIGH BACTERIA LEVELS FOUND

The Escambia County Health Department has issued a health advisory for the Gulf side of Park West near the Fort Pickens gate after sampling showed high levels of bacteria. Health Department Director Dr. John Lanza said the department advises against any water-related activities because of high levels of a bacteria, often found in raw sewage, may increase after a heavy rainfall.
