BAY COUNTY HEALTH ADVISORY

The Florida Department of Health says a health advisory remains in effect for the Bay County beach near the Ocean Towers Beach Club on Front Beach Road. Sampling showed the water contains a high amount of bacteria, which often comes from storm water runoff, pets, wildlife, and human sewage. This is the fourth time since June 24th that a sample has shown poor water quality. Despite the high number of bacteria present in the water, the beach remains open to the public.
