PHARMACY OWNER INDICTED

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says the president and part-owner of a Pensacola pharmacy has been indicted by a federal grand jury for filling prescriptions that were not based on legitimate doctor-patient relationships. 33-year-old Andrew Fisher, the part-owner of Physician Specialty Pharmacy, has been charged with conspiracy to commit health care fraud, wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. He is accused of conspiring to defraud insurance companies like TRICARE through fraudulent claims of more than 4.8 million dollars, between October 2014 and December 2015. Fisher’s trial is set for September 3rd.
