The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says a former Okaloosa County road worker has been arrested for fraudulently claiming sick leave while secretly working in Alabama. 38-year-old John Bradley of Wing, Alabama, worked as a heavy equipment operator with the Okaloosa County Road Department, but was working in Covington, Alabama as a backhoe operator while he was on sick leave from Okaloosa County claiming more than $1,700 in sick leave in April and May. Bradley also gave falsified medical excuse notes to Okaloosa County.
