The Gulf Breeze Police Department and other agencies conducted a brief search in the waters near the Pensacola Bay Bridge after a man jumped off the bridge on the Gulf Breeze side yesterday morning. The Highway Patrol received the report that initiated the search, but about an hour into the search, police learned a civilian in a boat had pulled the man out of the water and taken him to the Pensacola side. Police believe the man was homeless and it is not known if he was injured in the fall.
