The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says a 20-year-old man drowned yesterday in Bayou Grande after he fell off of a paddle boat. Deputies were called to the 2900 block of Owen Bell Lane near Pleasant Grove Elementary School after a man was pulled from the water. He was pronounced dead at the scene and his name has not yet been released. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will be handling the investigation.
