FLYING HUNDRED-DOLLAR BILLS

Drivers on Highway 98 were shocked when they saw thousands of what looked like $100 bills scattered along Highway 98. The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office said the bills are believed to be counterfeit. Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Michele Nicholson said they received two reports about the incident and the number of bills on the ground was estimated to be anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000. A responding deputy did not see any bills.
