The Florida Department of Health in Walton County says two Walton County beaches have high levels of fecal pollution. Health advisories were issued Thursday for Inlet Beach and Blue Mountain Beach after the weekly water tests revealed unacceptably high levels of bacteria. A range of 0-35 bacterial cells in a sample is considered good. Blue Mountain Beach’s number was 100, while Inlet Beach’s was 144. The pollution may come from storm runoff, pets, wildlife and human sewage.
