OKALOOSA COUNTY CHILD NEGLECT ARREST

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says over eight dozen used uncapped syringes and other drug paraphernalia was found inside a Fort Walton Beach home within a child’s reach when deputies went to serve an arrest warrant on 24-year-old Jazmine Rivera. A deputy stated in the report that he observed used and uncapped syringes and drug paraphernalia on the floor of the residence and kitchen counter and a child was discovered in a bedroom unattended in a crib and in need of a diaper change. Rivera was not at the home during the search and arrived 90-minutes later. She was arrested for child neglect without bodily harm.
