SANTA ROSA COUNTY DRUG ARREST

Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson announced the arrest of a 33-year-old Pensacola man on drug charges in Milton and revealed he had a rap sheet of prior arrests that was 43 pages long. In this latest arrest Travis Mitchell was charged with two counts of drug trafficking, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and marijuana possession. Johnson said Mitchell is a 14-time convicted felon and was a passenger in a pickup truck that was pulled over for a traffic infraction. A K-9 alerted deputies to the presences of drugs and Mitchell was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail on a $23,000 bond.
