Florida State Representative Mike Hill has filed a bill to repeal several gun laws that were passed after the 2018 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in South Florida. The bill would repeal the prohibition of mentally ill persons buying guns, the ban on bump stock devices, the increase from 18 to 21 as the minimum age to purchase rifles and the three-day waiting period. Hill filed a similar bill last year, but it never made it out of committee. The 2020 Florida Legislative session begins in January.
