The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says four people from Milton and Pace have been arrested for stealing thousands of oysters. The group was trying to sell the stolen oysters and FWC investigators received information, which led them to a suspect. The Pensacola Bay Oyster Company said about 40,000 oysters were stolen in July from their site in East Bay. 35-year-old Nicholas Mason, and 30-year-old Douglas Lowery, both of Milton, are charged with grand theft and dealing in stolen property. Nicholas Mason’s mother – 58-year-old Lesia Mason, also of Milton – is also charged with grand theft and dealing in stolen property. 46-year-old Lonny Teston, of Pace, is charged with being an accessory to dealing stolen property.
