The weekend price of gas in Florida was $2.42 a gallon, only one-tenth of a cent above the current low that was set in June and nearly 20 cents per gallon less than last summer. Since Memorial Day, gas prices have averaged $2.56 per gallon. Compared to all other states, Florida has the 14th lowest daily average price. It also had the second-largest monthly decline of any other state at 27 cents per gallon and the fourth-largest yearly decline of 34 cents per gallon. The Triple A Auto Club said it’s unlikely drivers will see a significant jump at the pump anytime soon.
