The Florida Department of Transportation says the lanes on Nine Mile Road between the Leisure Lakes RV entrance to the 11 Mile Creek bridge will be shifted onto the new east-bound road. The transition was originally scheduled for Monday will now be rescheduled for today because of weather conditions. It will allow construction crews to begin to re-pave and re-stripe the westbound lane. Escambia County Commissioner Jeff Bergosh said people can expect to see more traffic in the area and to have patience. All four lanes from the Navy Federal Credit Union to the Interstate are to be completed by the end of the year.
