A MiG-21 supersonic fighter jet has arrived at the National Naval Aviation Museum. It will be renovated for an exhibit about the Navy’s downing of two Iraqi MiGs in January 1991, on the first day of Operation Desert Storm. The actual F/A-18 Hornets from that incident arrived earlier this year. The MiG-21 will be re-assembled and restored by the Foundation and they hope to have it ready by January of 2021, for the 30th anniversary of Desert Storm.
