The Escambia County Sheriff’s Department says the largest seizure of powdered cocaine in recent department history when 22 kilos of powered cocaine were seized. Escambia County Sheriff David Morgan said the drugs have an approximate street value of 2.2 million dollars. Chief Deputy Chip Simmons said no arrests have been made and would not comment on potential suspects or speculate about the drugs’ point of origin. He did say the drugs were found when a K-9 alerted on the cocaine that was supposedly bound for a warehouse in Escambia County that does not exist. The investigation is continuing.
