HURRICANE DORIAN RESPONSE

Emergency service personnel and electric utility repair crews from Northwest Florida are deploying to Florida’s East Coast in response to Hurricane Dorian. The South Walton Fire District deployed its Squad 3 and a district chief to Camp Blanding National Guard training center about 30 miles inland from St. Augustine. A number of other emergency service agencies, including fire departments in Lynn Haven, Crestview, Pace, Okaloosa Island, Midway, North Bay, Navarre, Destin and Pensacola are assisting. Also, Gulf Power sent line workers and support to be staged from Lake City.
