MEDICAL EXAMINER SEARCH CONTINUES

The search continues for a District 1 Medical Examiner to replace Doctor Andrea Minyard who is leaving at the end of September. She resigned after some county leaders questioned her salary and demanded disclosure of her personal finance. One option may be to hire Associate Medical Examiner Tim Gallagher as the new interim examiner. Representatives from Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Walton counties have agreed to accept a written proposal from Gallagher that will include his salary requirements.
