Atmore Alabama Police say an arrest has been made in the ambush-style murder of an Atmore man last week. Atmore Police Chief Chuck Brooks said 23-year-old Anthony English, of Atmore was taken into custody yesterday in Monroeville, Alabama. He is charged with the murder of Roderick Watkins, Jr. on Jimbos Road in Atmore. Chief Brooks said Watkins was returning home from work when he was shot. No motive for the shooting has been released.
