An inmate at the Escambia County Jail was found dead yesterday morning of an apparent suicide. 59-year-old Clarence Brown, was found dead in his cell about 3am. Brown was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 12-year-old girl. Escambia County Sheriff’s Office investigators responded to the death at the jail shortly before 3 a.m.
