The Florida Department of Transportation says Highway 98 is open again in Mexico Beach following repairs to fix damage caused by Hurricane Michael last year. A section from Salt Creek Bridge to the Gulf County line was closed for months. Construction included repairs to the roadway and shoulders, drainage improvements, guardrail replacements, and sidewalk reconstruction. FDOT spokesman Ian Satter said there will still be intermittent repairs that should be completed by the end of this month.
