The Florida Highway Patrol says a 37-year-old pedestrian died after he was hit by a car on North “W” Street about 3 a.m. Sunday. Troopers say 19-year-old Rose White, of Pensacola, was southbound on “W” Street near Lenox Parkway when Travis Gilmore stepped out in front of her vehicle. Gilmore died from his injuries, but neither White nor her passenger were injured. Authorities do not believe the crash was alcohol-related. Charges are pending.
