MIKE HILL ABORTION BILL FILED

State Representative Mike Hill has again filed a bill in the Florida House that would ban abortions if a fetal heartbeat is detected, but the bill removes any medical exceptions, including if the mother’s life is in danger. The bill also changes the word fetus to “preborn human being.” The legislation Hill filed last year included exceptions in cases of rape, incest, domestic violence, human trafficking or if the woman’s life was in danger, but it went nowhere in the Legislature. Hill said God told him to sponsor a bill that included no exceptions, not long after a similar bill was signed into law in Alabama.
