HURLBURT SERGEANT DIES IN TRAINING

The Air Force says a Hurlburt Field special tactics para-rescueman died Tuesday while performing mountain rescue training in Boise, Idaho.   33-year-old Tech Sergeant Peter Kraines died from injuries he suffered in the accident. Colonel Matthew Allen, commander of the 24th Special Operations Wing, said Kraines was a military static-line jumper, free fall jumper, Air Force combat scuba diver and certified emergency medical technician, trained for immediate deployment into combat operations to conduct search and rescue and personnel recovery. The incident is under investigation.
