Santa Rosa County Commissioners are looking at different options to generate revenue after voters failed to approve the half-cent sales tax increase. Chairman Sam Parker says the Board will consider impact fees – a one-time tax placed on new residential or commercial construction. Parker says they’re looking for a company to conduct a study to determine an appropriate fee and how that money could be spent. He hopes to have study results back in four to five months.
