GRAND JURY DECLINES TO INDICT EX-OFFICER

An Escambia County grand jury has declined to bring criminal charges against the detective who was fired from the Pensacola Police Department for violating the department’s use of deadly force policy.  The Grand Jury said there was not enough evidence to criminally charge former Detective Daniel Siemen for the shooting death of 28-year-old Tymar Crawford back on July 5th. Crawford was shot during a struggle with officers after a traffic stop for a suspected drug violation. Siemen was fired after an internal investigation found that he violated department policy.
