The Florida Department of Environmental Protection says a water and oil leak occurred Friday about four miles northeast of Century in Escambia County. An estimated 7,200 gallons of water and 147 gallons of crude oil were released from the facility operated by the St. Regis Gas Treating Facility. A vacuum truck removed the spilled material from the site. All impacted soil will be removed and disposed of at an approved landfill.
