PETITION DRIVE TO OUST MATT GAETZ

An organization called Change Dot Org says 57,000 people have signed a petition seeking to have Congressman Matt Gaetz expelled from Congress. The petition drive, which began Thursday, is spearheaded by Sergio Siano, a New York electrician who has become active in progressive causes. The drive began the day after Gaetz led other Republican lawmakers in storming an impeachment-related hearing being held by the House Intelligence Committee. The Gaetz-led GOP lawmakers succeeded in delaying the Wednesday hearing for five hours. Two-thirds of the members of Congress would have to vote to expel Gaez and is considered extremely unlikely that it would even be brought to a vote.
