An employee of the Holley-Navarre Water System was fired for intentionally dumping 300 gallons of raw sewage onto the ground near a groundwater monitoring well. The Florida Department of Environmental Protection said another employee saw the Water System truck pull up and dump material onto the ground. The employee took several pictures, but didn’t report the incident to his supervisor until 8 days later. He was given a verbal warning after waiting so long to report. Water System CEO Rob Williamson said the driver was fired, but did not release the employee’s name and said he did not know why the employee dumped the raw sewage.
